Dedicated to our land, the beating heart of the production of Primitivo di Manduria, "Il Sava" is the symbol of our winemaking tradition.
Produced only in exceptional vintages, when the Primitivo grapes reach sublime quality, grown on typical Apulian bush vines over 60 years old, then carefully selected and hand-harvested after a period of withering on the vine.
The distinctive feature of this wine is its aging in Capasoni, ancient terracotta amphora which enhance Primitivo’s typical characteristics and strengthen the connection within tradition and terroir.


TASTING NOTES

A natural sweet Primitivo with a deep colour and garnet reflections, boasting a full, velvety flavour with a long and persistent finish. The warm, dry climate of the region gives a Mediterranean character to the wine, with notes of ripe red fruit, dried plums, fig jam, and sweet spices.


PAIRINGS

Your best bet for a great dessert wine, it pairs superbly with dry almond-based pastries, dried figs, dark chocolate and intensely flavoured aged cheeses.
