Being an ode to tradition and respectful of time, this wine is a unique and inimitable product. Capasonato is a sweet natural red wine made from a blend of two vintages (1984 and 1985) of Primitivo from Puglia, aged for almost 30 years in Capasoni, traditional terracotta amphorae.
This natural process has given Capasonato an unparalleled complexity, preserving the integrity of the fruit, amplifying the aromas and giving the wine a slow and prolonged anaerobic evolution.

TASTING NOTES

This wine takes you on a journey through time. The orange-red colour suggests a complex and enveloping bouquet. Notes of overripe fruit, dried figs and plum jam intertwine in an inebriating harmony, enriched by hints of dark chocolate and sweet spices. On the palate, it is warm, soft and velvety, with a balanced sweetness and a long and persistent finish.

PAIRINGS

Perfect to sip on its own as a meditation wine, but also to be paired with dry almond-based pastries, fruit tarts and dark chocolate. An elixir to be savoured slowly to fully enjoy every nuance and complexity.
